American Flag Stops at Window World Headquarters During Old Glory Relay To Be Honored by Local Community

N. WILKESBORO, NC (October 9, 2021) — Window World, America’s leading exterior remodeling franchise, is proud to host a free flag exchange for the local community at its headquarters on October 16. The event will rally a crowd to support Team Red, White & Blue’s Old Glory Relay as it reaches North Carolina on its 2,400-mile journey.

Commemorating the 20th anniversary of one of America’s darkest days, Team RWB’s Old Glory Relay began on 9/11 in New York City. During the epic two-month journey, supporters work together to walk, run and ruck the American Flag through nine states, culminating at its final destination in Atlanta, Georgia, on Veterans Day.

Window World invites families and friends to its headquarters on October 16 at 118 Shaver Street in North Wilkesboro from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to greet the team as it reaches the Tar Heel State. Attendees are encouraged to bring an old, gently worn American flag to exchange for a new one at no cost. The old flags will be properly retired in accordance with U.S. Flag Code.

“Window World is honored to present the Team RWB Old Glory Relay and to show our support for America’s veterans,” says Window World Chairman and CEO Tammy Whitworth. “As sponsors of the Old Glory Relay, it seemed natural to rally support as participants pass through our company’s hometown. We look forward to a fun-filled, patriotic day, and we can’t wait to see all the new American flags flying proudly throughout the community.”

Attendees will also enjoy a family-friendly morning of music, entertainment and food, featuring an all-American show from the popular patriotic singing group the American Bombshells.

Window World and its franchisees embrace veterans and their families through its Window World Military Initiative, a company-wide pledge to honor and serve America’s veterans, active military and military families. The Window World Military Initiative focuses on three pillars: careers, community outreach and partnerships.
